For the second year in a row Steve Healey will be cycling 100 miles around the Lake Country of greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 2, to raise funds for childhood cancer research. Riding in memory of their daughter Anna (1996-2006), Steve will be joined this year be his wife Barbara who will be participating in the 14-mile ride. The event is sponsored by the MACCfund. MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) has raised millions of dollars over the years to fund research in hopes of defeating childhood cancer.
Last year Steve raised $1,800 and finished the ride in about 5-and-a-half hours. This year he hopes to increase dollars and decrease riding time.
